(3,067 posts)I would love Biden (and I believe he will) to talk up his educational programs more. Emphasize free CC and how we will pay for it (like Warren). Talk about the importance of public service and how existing loans WILL be forgiven (as was promised). Face his past vote against student debt being excluding in bankruptcy.
Talk up his climate policies more. The need to do something from day one. This is an even more existential threat than the current pandemic (though as a virologist it pains me to say that - and I believe pandemics and climate change are linked).
Now that the field has narrowed, just start taking about the things that affect the short and long term future of young people.
Engage young folks and dont ignore them or have animosity towards their concerns. Or blame them for falling for Bernie or their idealism.
When I went to vote yesterday, there were lots of young people. They were even volunteering. This is a very red state and Bernie won. He has a message that resonates. Lets not poo-poo them off.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
