I have it in my head to do a few open mics. We got one Dog Friendly bar with awesome local brews that do an open once a month. May try that, if my old riddled Brian can remember lyrics.
Sounds like you have had a great experience with music. Lots of time doing it all. With much success. It’s a young man’s game on the road. My brother is the famous one. His band “Hot Smokin Brass” was Jackie Wilson’s band for 4 years, traveled extensively. He played lead. I was playing sailer then, missed all the fun.
They played lots of Music by Chicago, the good early stuff, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat and Tears and bad ass funk music. Really great 4 piece brass, with Keys, bass, guitar and one hell of a drummer.
When not with Jackie they toured and opened for Mothers Finest some.
He has been in many many bands since. Just recently given bands up.
Wish we lived closer. I could have my own Clapton when doing Can’t Find my Way Home. 😉. He is laying down the Les Paul’s and Strats for a Martin and the same 814. Makes good cash teaching guitar on line for a local guitar store. Average 30 students.
He tries to get me to down load his lessons and teach. After 30 years teaching College, I am burnt out on teaching. Especially on line.
