4. They are horrifying...

To say the least. We have them in Montana too but so many people are in the way in SoCal.

Earlier today I was discussing this fire event with my pal who was a smoke jumper his entire career, he's fought fires around Malibu before, has relatives in Calabassas. We were going over the way this fire might travel and the terrain in the area. It's a nasty place to fight a wildfire to begin with but the Santa Ana winds are the over-riding factor. You can't stop the wind, you just have to wait it out.

This was one of my greatest fears when I lived in the area, fires during Santa Ana events.
