1. Not such a smart idea... I love World Con. Only been to 2 of them....

and only for 1 day each time ($ issues).

Enough $ to pay for 1 day, and train fare! So they had to be East Coast not too far.

Baltimore. JMS (Babylon 5) was Guest Speaker but had ? Pneumonia something nasty enough to keep him away. But he did do a live phone in which was cool.

Then Phildelphia, which was extra cool because I did vote for Philadelphia at the Baltimore WC.

The sad thing was 9-11 happened fairly soon after (I'm a NYC'r who spent '80 - '81 on the 73rd flr of SouthTower 2), and I then totally forgot about Philcon until weeks waaaay later when I opened a particular draw, and found the program, and events schedule "book".

I still have stuff from both! 🩷🚀🩷

I see my next possible chance is Montreal in 2027. I doubt I can save up enough, though.
