I go to Amazon to find the product and brand I want to buy. Then I google that exact item/brand.
In almost every case, you can find that exact item/brand somewhere other than Amazon for a lower price and also free shipping.

Recently, I found a well known brand and model of a ladder I wanted to buy. On Amazon the ladder was 125 bucks, on another website I found it for 75 dollars, with paid shipping! AND, it promised a delivery date, only one day longer than Amazon...........

Amazon has trained everyone well ,to go to them, and not look elsewhere, and they have jacked their prices considerably.......many items with much longer than their normal past shipping dates........
