He never hit us.

He never sexually abused us.

He never locked us in our rooms.

But hell yeah, he terrorized us.

Yelling. The mask of ugly when it's lividly angry.

The implied threat of "I'll ruin you. I'll destroy you."

And like good children of malignant narcissists, we tiptoed on eggshells. Except me. I took the blows for "talking back". And I paid for it.

Unless you have someone to check a terrorist and his power, he more or less has free reign.
