3. They have been trying to control the NCSBE for years and years. ..

This is just the latest stab at it. And maybe the most ridiculous. They claim the board is "too partisan" because the current elected governor gets to make the appointments which is a Democrat this term, Josh Stein.

But they want to make it "less partisan" by giving the responsibility of making the appointments to the state auditor, Dave Boliek. He was originally a registered Democrat but in 2023, he registered as a Republican à la Tricia Cotham. Remember that turncoat?

They are claiming that he's less partisan, maybe because he used to be a Democrat. Which is ludicrous.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

1. The proposed change was put to a state vote previously and, the citizens of NC voted overwhelming against the nonsense.
2. It's in the NC constitution so any proposed changes mean that the constitution would have to be altered. NC voters overwhelmingly are against the change. Have been for years.
And
3. Every single one of the Republicans silly attempts have been and, are going to be deemed unconstitutional (just like this last one) until the NC constitution is changed or if they can install a Republican court in NC to vote in their favor.

Which is one big reason why the Judge Allison Riggs win must be upheld and why the Republicans are fighting tooth and, nail to change the result.

Facts Check welcome. But I do believe that's the just of it.
