But according to Liz Cheney's book, House Republicans were too afraid to vote yes on impeachment for threats of violence on themselves and their families and they were also afraid of being primaried. As it was, only 10 voted yes on impeachment and of those, only 2 were reelected. And others used the excuse that "he will be gone soon," and we know how that turned out.
