Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: The notion that governors are delaying primaries to hurt the Democratic Party is insane bullshit. [View all]djg21
(1,803 posts)It presumes that primaries are cancelled, as opposed to postponed. No one is disenfranchised when primaries are postponed. In fact, if a primary is postponed, and in the interim a state makes provision to allow more to voters by mail (or the period to obtain absentee ballots is extended) people who would avoid the polls in person could vote by mail, and the postponement could result it he enfranchisement of more persons and better turn-out.
It just so happens that postponement works to benefit Sanders, who is bound to lose anyway. It hurts the party because Biden cant turn his attention to the general election and defeating Trump. But that is Bernies fault. We learned that he is an egomaniacal asshole in 2016 when he screwed Hillary over by attacking her form the left flank, and then refusing to get on her bus when he was finished. Is anyone really surprised that hes doing everything he can to submarine Biden and to the same thing again this cycle?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
