...who misused cannabis by treating it as an intoxicant instead of a tonic. In their defense, they created a vast underground market that sustained true believers like myself who just wanted to 'stay mellow'. However, as the article suggests, it was the parents of these long-haired greaser types who correctly saw the problem as something other than their poor parenting skills and blamed everything on cannabis.
