It is really difficult and expensive to do the sort of testing that provides anything other than anecdotal evidence that some substance or other does something. But for cannabis it is basically impossible because our government mostly forbids it.

So no, Melamede is not a witch doctor, he just doesn't have the evidence required for reasonable certainty that cannabis can help people with rhinovirus. I wish he did.
