8. Appreciate the idea, but I thnk I'd rather not have it. Let me explain.

a bad experience in dealing with posts (IMHO) is having to click something extra just to understand the post.

I fear posters will put some obscure acronym in their post, and then add the acronym to this list to justify not having to just spend an extra few seconds typing in the original post. One person's extra few seconds can save the time of lots of readers, as well as not causing the DU server to get extra hits.

I would much rather have a short list of well known acronyms here for reference. Maybe that is what you are intending -- not just that the acronym is lean and easy in the first place, but the length of this list is also lean?
