There was a problem with Safari and DU where the first time you try and get to a page it would often fail, but if you went back and tried again it would work the second time. You had to go back and then follow the link again, simply hitting refresh wasn't enough.

But ... they fixed it a while ago (approx June 8th)..

And there was a problem with Firefox and its "Enhanced Tracking Protection" that would block you from getting to videos on some sites. You could fix it by selectively disabling the feature (e.g. so DU didn't hit it). Instructions over on https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1095&pid=24983

But it sounds like the old "Safari/DU" bug is hitting you. Not much to do other than report it to the admins here and switch to a different browser for DU. Ask the Admins
