Dealing with obvious troll: Jury or MIRT? [View all]

The other day, I ran into a obvious troll post (poster's 1st post) that obviously qualified for MIRT. I clicked "alert abuse" in the post and it went to the Jury System.

I checked the reason: "Does not support Democratic values"...

Was this the correct way to go about this? Or should I have tried to directly locate the MIRT team?

Thanks
