(3,747 posts)I don't, but I do have a 6 man tent perfect for me and two friends. Put a tarp on the bottom and a tarp hung properly over the top, and very little water will get near the tent, giving you a warm and dry place if needed. Thermal underwear and a water proof outer layer is all you really need to stay warm for the most part, and you can add layers as necessary.
Those two things and that's 90% of the battle. The last 10% is learning to enjoy being wet and cold when all the previous stuff doesn't work
Rainy days and snow camping are probably on my top 10 things I love doing. It can be an incredibly peaceful and enlightening experience, sitting on a rock near your camp, listening to the rain and wind and river. If you're lucky, you can get a fire started (under a tarp haha) and then there's the warmth of the fire on your back and the gentle snapping of flames. It's beautiful in ways I can't begin to describe.
