The Catholics want to put their dogma against contraception and abortion into civil law. The Calvinists want the poor punished, just like Determinist Jebus intended, while the rich must not be subject to the law, same reason. I don't think I have to mention keeping Israel on the taxpayer tit beyond all reason, especially with their present government, but that's not purely religious.

The truth is that most religions have silly dogma they want to have the force of law, from banning fiddle playing on Sunday, to the Blue Laws, to the laws that threaten the lives of the female half of the population.

This is an important battle and isn't about whether or not an individual is a believer. It's about organized religion intruding into secular government. That wall is there for a very good reason.

Think.
