The reason why the fundies can't let go of their King James version because most modern translations omit the Comma Johanneum, which was a reference to the trinity that didn't appear until centuries after the first gospels were written down, probably inserted by a monk who felt the bible needed direct evidence of the trinity to hold off challenges to the official church doctrine. Even the RCC admits it's bullshit.

So it turns out, Jesus really isn't lord.
