They generally come across as mentally incompetent to reasonable people.

Like for example - Gudrun Burwitz (Himmler's daughter). She supported Nazi's until her last breath - a true believer. Supported groups that hid nazis . . . she actually believed "that the Holocaust never happened and Jews caused their own downfall".

It's not mental illness in my opinion - these are true believers. These folks truly hate Jewish people. Hate them.
