5. A very Zen approach

Sometimes I'm more successful than at other times, seeing the interconnectedness of it all and thanking the universe for everything in this life - the good and the evil.

Other times, not so much.

It almost feels selfish to look at even the negatives with gratitude when you know others are suffering. I want to do battle with the negatives. Feeling gratitude seems like enabling.

But then I look at enlightenment another way - the better I am doing the more I can help others. I can thank all the awful experiences for putting me in a position to "see" what needs doing when I am able to help.

Very interesting post. Thanks for sharing your insights.
