Anyone ever used Turo for car sharing? [View all]

Going to Sarasota next month and regular car rental prices are through the roof. Like $700 a week for a tiny compact car.

Turo.com popped up and it's local people I assume that own cars and rent them out to people. Supposedly they deliver it to you give you the keys and then are there to pick it up when you want to drop it off. Each will tell you how many trips the car took what year is etc etc.

Seems so much more reasonable but of course afraid to take a chance
