Renting an RV, camper or apartment in Europe. [View all]

We have been looking at this as an option for an extended stay this summer but the prices seem to be utterly outrageous and way out of our budget.

Does anyone have any experience or advice about this?

Does anyone know about possibly buying something then selling it at the end of the summer?

If we can't make this work, we are looking to get a small apartment, probably somewhere in Italy. Any advice on this would be appreciated as well.
