Not "everyone does it." Nor as your quarterback said on camera, "we had to do it because Ohio State was doing it." Good gawd. If I were you, I'd acknowledge the issue and hope that NCAA comes together with the conferences to come up with a strategy going forward to prevent this--the obvious being a technological solution like NFL uses for "calls" but likewise a uniform investigation and penalty system. I don't want the team members penalized--especially after their win. But, this is not a token issue. It is cheating, even if low tech and relatively unsophisticated.
