I have only read four of his books, and have liked them all.

I will warn you that his most recent, Pushback, is a straightforward mystery. When I read it, I kept on waiting for something science-fictional to happen, but it never does. However, it's an incredible read. Man goes to his ten year high school reunion at the small town in Colorado he grew up in, but he does not know or recognize a single person there. Why? That's the starting point, and it's a wonderful book.
