Even if the shotgun had a floating firing pin, the shotgun would almost certainly have to land muzzle first (or near muzzle first) first for the firing pin to even have a slight change of setting off a shotgun round.

Like Sarisataka, I have serious doubts that a 3 year could pull the trigger on a shotgun while at the same time aiming it at her head.
