The problem with anarchy is that a majority can with impunity violate the rights of an individual or a minority.
The problem with government is that a majority can with impunity violate the rights of an individual or a minority.
The only good answer is a balance.

The one and only sound basis for government is a strong foundation in individual rights. Laws are the criteria we use to convict the guilty of crimes. Rights are the criteria we use to judge a law. Laws that do not protect rights are probably not a good idea.

The RKBA guards the right of self-defense. How is this not simple?
