5. the problem I have is that

they don't address the most common murder weapons in DV cases. Things like bare hands, baseball bats, knives. In fact, I know of a DV victim who if her fourth grade son didn't have access to a gun, she would be dead. Drunk step dad was in the process of, literally, beating her to death. Kid got the rifle from the cabinet and, shall we say, abruptly de escalated the situation.
