Judge denies felon's bid to get shooting charges dismissed under Stand Your Ground [View all]

A Palm Beach County felon once dubbed a "domestic terrorist" by police failed to convince a judge to dismiss two attempted murder charges from 2012 based on a Stand Your Ground self-defense claim.

Brian Bragdon, whose case at one time was headed to the Florida Supreme Court, should not receive immunity from prosecution, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Dina Keever has ruled.

A trial date has not yet been set for Bragdon, 26, previously convicted for dealing cocaine, though attorneys are to talk with the judge on Jan. 12.

The charges against Bragdon and his girlfriend and co-defendant, Briana Threatt, 24, resulted from a pre-dawn fight the couple and a friend had with two men inside an adult club, then called Dream Girls, at 1000 N. Congress Ave., near West Palm Beach.
