"As gun-rights advocates descended on Springfield for their annual lobby day Wednesday, lawmakers sifted through bills that could affect concealed weapons in the state."

Expanding where concealed carry is allowed was the top priority for the group this year. Members said they want to allow weapons into places such as rest stops and on public transportation.

The advocates, who were visiting as part of Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day, started at the Prairie Capital Convention Center before heading to the Capitol to lobby lawmakers."

When was the last time anyone saw more than a handful of the "dedicated" gun control supporters show up for anything?

Bloomberg and his paid for minions were a no show. Boy, "the tide has certainly turned".

Worth noting - that the state reps and senators from Chicago refused to meet with their constituents or were "unavailable".

The rest of us received from a polite to interested to enthusiastic receptions from our reps and senators. Please, keep in mind that Illinois has a supermajority of Dems in both the House and Senate. But I guess they must not be "Real Democrats" right?
