That President Obama gets his judicial appointments through the Senate in a timely manner. Especially if a Supreme retires!

I've long thought that LGBT rights would be ultimately settled in federal court. Many of the state laws and voter initiatives will be challenged. And a Republican House with an similarly aligned Senate and White House could cause much mischief.

But if the judiciary is progressive, or even moderate, the damage could be remedied.

Obama's greatest social issues legacy would be to give the USA a judicial branch who will support freedoms for all, and especially the LGBT community and their supporters who have shown the way in a generation long battle, whose end looks to be in sight.

Let's all keep up the pressure.
