he was also afraid of the dryer at the groomer. We used a Happy Hoodie on him (which is probably similar to the headband you asked about) and it made all the difference. The noise level is so reduced that now he just stands there calmly while she blow dries him. I don't see why it wouldn't help with other loud noises.
