It's a blessing and a curse to get diagnoses right away. I always imagined I'd be called into a kindly doctor's office with my husband, the doctor would show us scans, then break the bad news and give us the next options.

Instead, I got an automatic note showing I had a test result, and read "serous endometrial carcinoma." It was difficult just to wait through that day, unable to speak with any doctor until late in the afternoon, and then she just referred me out to another doctor...

I hope your wife is coping as well as possible and that your MIL is, too.
