Had to suppress a strong urge the other night [View all]

It was one of those glorious spring evenings here in Michigan. My wife was having a gin & tonic and I was remembering drinking vodka & tonics out on the patio. But then I reminded myself that my drinks were usually 1/2 vodka and a splash of tonic. Then getting shit-faced, falling asleep in front of the tv at 9 o'clock, and waking up with a horrific hangover. So I grabbed a mug of ice cream and headed upstairs to watch a movie. Much better results!
6 1/2 years sober and feeling like a million bucks! Well, a couple hundred bucks, anyway.
