I type this while I am drinking from my Cafe Du Monde coffee mug...

All my life I wanted to visit New Orleans - the history, culture, & wonderful people - it called to me for so long and I finally got to go this summer and it was as much a pilgrimage as it was a vacation. My most memorable moment was sitting in Cafe Du Monde drinking coffee and eating beignets thinking, "thank you universe for this truly beyond happy moment". Days later, I was reminded of that feeling when I stopped into our neighborhood thrift store and found a dusty Cafe Du Monde coffee mug sitting on a shelf waiting for me to bring home. And then again Irisblue with your post that I stumbled upon this morning - I think it was a sign from the universe - reminding me yet again that there is always a reason to stand in gratitude.
