Netflix - "Munich - The Edge of War" [View all]

I watched this movie/docudrama last night. It was a powerful story about Neville Chamberlain's decision to seek peace and capitulation with Hitler when he signed a treaty to allow Germany to annex Czechoslovakia in 1938.

Jeremy Iron was superb in his acting role of Neville Chamberlain.....he captured the essence of the British PM in this moment. There was a parallel storyline of 2 young friends - 1 German and 1 Brit - who knew Hitler's true intentions and had the document that laid out Hitler's plan for Europe.

While history has not been kind to Chamberlain's actions, a key point of this treaty was that it bought the Allies time to restart their war machines which would have been much more problematic had Chamberlain decided to draw the line with the invasion of Czechoslovakia.

One of the better historical drama's that I recommend....it was well produced and gave me new insight as to how the political events shaped the world as WW2 started to become reality.
