Hallucinogenic persistent perception disorder, or HPPD, is triggered by the use of psychedelic drugs.

HPPD can result in disturbed vision, where a sufferer may constantly see visual snow, haloes or trails and experience depersonalization or other feelings of isolation or confusion.
