It's becoming one of the main issues between North America and Europe. European leftists have had a Jacobin history for a long time, kind of like Glenn Greenwald, and they believe that it is a mistake to address racism or anti-LGBT sentiment because they believe that once equal income is legislated, all social problems will disappear.

Therefore, left leaning Europeans frequently attack the idea of gay rights or same-sex marriage or anything having to do with LGBTQ people.
