6. That's the thing! Those in the military who are assigned these "weapons of war" undergo training

And it's not an overnight thing. Anyone who uses a gun should be required to undergo training. I learned to shoot at summer camp back in the day - and before any of us even picked up a gun we had to learn and understand several safety rules - and the one unwritten rule was to never shoot at anything living!

I was pretty good at it and was on the team at summer camp (all girls, it was a girls' camp) and joined the team at my school as the first and only girl. And back then everyone took it seriously, there were never any incidents. Though, needless to say, there is no longer a team at my camp or my school - nor at any of the schools we used to shoot against, including the military schools. And we used rifles, no one needs a "weapon of war" unless they are on active duty in a war zone.
