David Ben-Gurion came out of retirement and implored the military to withdraw from the West Bank. He argued that occupation would only serve to corrupt the military, the government, and eventually the nation.

His words have come to fruition.

One can only wonder how history would have unfolded. It would not have been easy. Peace would have been a very tough road, but who knows how much pain may have been avoided.
