People like Avigdor Liberman, Ayelet Shaked, Uri Ariel, Miri Regev, and Naftali Bennett could easily be defined as fascists, the rest of the ministers in the government, including Benjamin Netanyahu could be defined as "only" right-wing racists. The only thing that stops these despicable individuals from having their way with Israel is because Israel is still a democracy, and there are institutional safeguards that protects Israel from its government. However, these safeguards are constantly attacked, and while Israel has adequate (I hope) protection in the Basic Laws, the A-G and the Supreme Court, I don't know if this will always be the case in the future.

Ya'alon is right - extremist elements have indeed taken over Israel.
