But, back in the day I did land surveying and helped lay out a major subdivision and golf course outside of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It was rather hilly at first, so hiking miles into and out of the property was not taken lightly. (Once some roads were cleared and we could drive into it, we were in heaven.) However, once we smokers got accustomed to the hiking, we learned that the hike was usually the best time to 'smoke 'em if ya got 'em!'. I used to say that we looked like a line of railroad engines climbing a steep grade and then rolling dow the other side. (This was the only job site where I remember having to actually climb up and down to go do surveys.)

This may have been why I had to finally stop it with the tobacco many years ago. That and trying to prolong my voice.
