So I picked up a new Macbook Pro, latest edition. Best Buy beats Apple Store.

I splashed water on my aging MB Air and was due a new unit so took to shopping last week.

Usually I go with a high end unit from the Apple refurbished online store but I didn't really want to wait.

Well, the fact that the new lineup was just released saved me from having to struggle over refurb vs brand new, there are no refurbs of the new MB Pros!

So, I went with a 13" 512 drive at a lower price than the Apple Store and, with a promotion from Best Buy, even beat the educators discount from Apple.

All I need now is to decide on AppleCare vs BestBuy policies.

I think I'll be happy.

If anyone else has embarked on the new lineup, please chime in. I see that I'm using a Magsafe 2 AC interface, I love having an SD card slot and will buy a flush mount mini SD card holder there.

All in all, pretty happy so far!
