I open vast quantities of tabs because I don't trust myself to get back to the "home" page I started with.
That could be a "latest discussions" page on DU, or one of the newest items pages on Hacker News.
And by making a shopping list like this, I can peruse that much shorter list later.
It's my way of curating links that mean something to me. And the list persists, for that inevitable day when I want to recall something later on.
