2. I get "bank" notices a lot.

if I have an account with the bank, I go separately to the website of the bank. Don't click the link in the email. I go to the contact us from and copy the email into the form and ask if it's phishing. Log on to the account on my phone r another computer (so they don't somehow get my password).

The company will let you know if this is their email. Rule of thumb is that any company that has financial dealing with you will not put a link in the email. so if there's a link, it's probably a scam.
