1. Hard to know from what you siad.

Did you remove your firewall and anti-virus before the wireless went down? If so, why?

When it went down, what was the "usual diagnostic test" that you went through, and who was the provider of it? Why would you "say yes to all the recommended changes" without reading and understanding the changes?

"...it was only I after I hit yes that I realized that the recommended option was something like, Connect to the Tehtubz."

Why would you approve an action without knowing until after you did it what the action was?

"Anyone have any experience with this?" No, I have never done anything even close to any part of this.
