My local MP Angela Smith is one of those splitting. She has a poor relationship with the Liberal Democrats going back to her days as a very tribal Labour councilor in Sheffield. She is also very much at odds with both the Liberal Democrats and Greens over fracking. It's still difficult to see her working well with other pro-Remain groups.

I do strongly sympathise with those wanting to work much more closely with other pro-remain parties though. It's the only realistic option Change UK / TIG have to be honest.

Another issue for Change UK / TIG is their campaigning. A of of the people involved with Change UK / TIG were involved in the "Stronger In" campaign and I could see a lot of the same mistakes being made in the European Elections that were made during the referendum campaign. Change UK / TIG's electioneering is at best badly out of date. At worst they are totally outmoded and unengaging.
