It has to take control of the process again, get another vote against it (the old one doesn't apply now, since it was specific to the old date), and then talk to the EU about another extension and what we can get passed. And the EU will want to negotiate with a government, not a rebel alliance. There could come a point at which some EU states say "let them leave without a deal, it'll act as a warning to any other reluctant member that you really are better off inside".

Opposition in parliament isn't enough on its own; it will have to form a pseudo-government, or force a general election. Neither of which looks likely to me.
