Saks Off 5th confirms closure of Westlake Center store [View all]
Downtown Seattle will soon lose another national retailer in a marquee space.
On Monday, Saks Off 5th confirmed plans to close its 36,000-square-foot store at Westlake Center on July 20, after more than six years at the mall.
"Through the regular course of business we continually evaluate store performance and other factors, and, from time to time, may determine it necessary to close a store," a spokesperson said in a statement to the Business Journal. "After careful consideration, Saks OFF 5TH has decided to close its Seattle, Washington location."
Founded in 1990, Saks Off 5th is an offshoot company of luxury department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue. It off-price brand operates more than 100 stores worldwide. Saks Off 5th opened on the third floor at 400 Pine St. in October 2017, pledging apparel and other merchandise from more than 800 leading brands for men, women and children.
