Texas GOP wants to abolish popular vote for statewide offices [View all]

There are a number of signs that the Texas GOP is worried about Texas turning blue. Greg Abbott is pulling a ton of stupid stunts such as sending the National Guard to the border where they have no enforcement authority, working on TFG's wall and attacking gender affirming treatment for trans youth. The Texas GOP gerrymandered the heck out of the state.

The latest gimmick that the Texas GOP want to adopt is to abolish the popular vote for statewide office and to adopt some sort of electoral college for statewide offices
