We have lighters that are childproof, and we still sell these "bombs" legally on the streets at the driest time of the year. Every year we hear horror stories about kids blowing their hands off if just that. Back in about 1970, I was just 9 and the bigger boys were playing with firecrackers and glass coke bottles, and kids being kids, doing stupid shit. I still remember the firecracker I just barely threw that went off. I didn't get hurt, but I felt the blow back force that could have taken my hand. Needless to say, I never played with them again.
