snip--"Which leads us to one question: Why would Jordan even want to do any of these three things? He’s unbeatable in his heavily Republican district. You’ve heard it said here before: A potted plant could run for election in Ohio’s 4th District, and as long as it had an “R” after it’s name, it would be assured victory. Jordan has been re-elected seven times in the district, all by hefty margins.

He’s also become quite powerful in a city where the powerful rule. He’s a national name now, often being seen on the cable TV political talk shows. Jordan was one of only a handful of Republicans who supported Trump to the end. Some see that as a badge of courage, others as the foolishness of blind loyalty.

The truth is, Jordan doesn’t have to do anything. If people believe he’s damaged goods from being Trump’s defender-in-chief, they could never be so wrong.

Jim Jordan is a fighter. A survivor. And a savvy politician."
